Hell Reckies is an airsoft team based in Athens, Greece. We are all dedicated players, we strive to keep up a high level of practice in our team, and we try to invest in the sport because of our love to it.

Team Presentation

The team set off after full accordance by its members on September 2007, although its members were exercising the sport for some time already in Greece and abroad.

The name is somewhat of a double meaning: We were flirting with the idea of a Hellenic Reconnaissance Team, but according to the rules wisely set by hellasairsoft.com, the point of origin where we all met and came in contact with the sport in Greece, we thought that we shouldn't use the word "hellenic" to avoid any nationalistic involvement, hence the decision to keep the "hell" part of the word. Besides, like this, we promise that "hell" will break loose during the game!

The "Reconnaissance" part easily paired with "wreck" to produce"reckies", hence you decide yourself if you refer to us as "reconnaissance team" or "scouts from hell" or "scouts of destruction". The result will be the same: when you see us up against you, you better run :-)

Our presence in the field, our love for the sport and our persitence to perfect what we do, has led to achieving a high level of expertise easily noticed during the game, that you cannot avoid taking into consideration, and that affects the outcome of the game. We are all players that play for a long time and posess several skills that add to the caracter we wish to promote in the team.

Although we have already concluded and have actively adopted several tactics during the game, we see that we still need improvement in some areas hence we continuously strive to improve ourselves in the field.

So, having all that in mind, and as we were flirting with the idea of a "reconnaissance team", we looked up the word reconnaissance in wikipedia. Our eyes came across references to several 3 & 4-letter european, american and other tactical units revealing of a lot of startling details that made us want it more...
The idea was there, as quoted in wiki,

"...reconnaissance is a military force's operating ahead of its main forces..."

meaning in our own mind and in "greckianese", the crazy and fubar enough to go ahead of all others and check where the rest is going to go during a mission. In other words, we were crazed with the idea to call it and do it like this!
